On our way across states and lunchtime was made very pleasant with our visit here. Portion size was very large... My wife and I split the fajitas (yummy) and my son had the chimichanga special. Once we were filled to the rafters we looked down and realized we had enough leftover food to have lunch all over again! Food quality was excellent and great value for the money. Margarita was tasty too. A previous comment talked about cleanliness of the restaurant. We will second that! Seemed like the owner might be a little OCD about keeping the place sanitized! Great lunch, we would come again!

Hacienda gets this good rating on the strength of good food and an excellent server. We found this place on Yelp, needing a meal during a road trip. The place was mobbed (a Friday night), and I suspect they were down some kitchen staff as well. Nevertheless, our waitress kept us supplied with drinks, chips, and salsa (good). Nothing particularly distinctive about the food -- it was simply all consistently good. As I was behind the wheel, I can't comment on the margaritas et al. I don't think this place would be a regular haunt for me if it were in our Houston stompin' grounds (lots of good options), but it was a nice find near the end of a long highway stretch. Worth pulling off I-10 for if you're hungry...

Excellent food as well as service. Caution: If they say it's spicy, they mean it! Salsa is also excellent!

Have to say that Hacienda Mexican Restaurant has good food, excellent service and a great atmosphere. My favorite is the beef burritos and the Salsa which I like to put all over my food is great. I come regularly about once a month.

Delicious food, some dishes enough for two! Excellent service, great Mexican atmosphere and reasonable prices. Two for one margaritas every night. You must try them when hungry for fresh Mexican food.

We stopped by here driving through town. The food was pretty good, but I have to tell you, this is the cleanest restaurant I have ever set foot in. Eat here, you won't regret it!

The Molcajete was excellent. Definitely a meal for two! The chips were fresh and the salsa was excellent. Strawberry and raspberry margaritas went down easily....2 for 1 special from 3pm to 8pm. Service was superb! Great for a date night or a nice family meal with authentic music!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
